It’s really that simple. For the last couple months I’ve been pitter-pattering with eating right and exercising. I haven’t put any real consistent effort into either aspect. One week I eat right and don’t exercise, the next I exercise and don’t eat right. SO has been life with no real result. My weight has bounced back and forth. It really is true that half the effort doesn’t get you half the result. The results only come with full effort.
This week I searched wayyyyyyy back to find some of my meal plans from 2+ years ago when I started doing Beachbody. What I found were the basics that worked. I made simple meal plans with simple foods and that got me in the groove of then being about to explore and find a healthy balance.
SO this week, cheers to the basic food plan that paired with the new 21 Day Fix Live workout plan is going to get me back in action.
Some of the thought behind my plan: I’m not a person that needs to eat something different every day. So eating a lot of chicken in a week or the same snacks, doesn’t phase me. And honestly, its cost efficient. Eat what you have, buying a bag of baby carrots and then portioning them, you have enough for a week and then some. Same with chicken. I buy the \large family pack and the divide it up into what I need for my family meal and freeze it. Sliced almonds come in a pack that will give me some for everyday and then some, rotisserie chicken goes a long way and so on. So for the week I don’t need to buy a million different things, I just use what I’m buying and so I don’t waste. Simple and easy basic meal prep.
