They aren't thinking about You

There's this simple notion or fear that we all have of 'what will they think?'. The 'they' could literally be anyone, someone you know and are close with, someone you work with, family, but most often its people you don't even know.

Most often its not even people, Its the idea/stigma of how you are supposed to be or how it should happen that you've thought up on your own. What you've seen on social media or portrayed around you thats just bit's and pieces added to what you've put together in your head.

The reality: They aren't thinking about you. They don't care about you. Everyone is worried about themselves. The bigger reality is those who aren't worried about themselves; when they have an issue or opinion towards you. They are taking a feeling or insecurity or fault they have of their own and portraying it on you or your situation.

No one stands in your shoes but you, no person has the same perspective as you in order to make the same choices as you because no one has been through all the same things as you.

Any persons discontent or with judgement towards you is a reflection of them, not you.

You can be bigger in a graceful way. You can be the one to realize that someone else being discontent is about them and not you. But that road goes both ways; you don't know what they're going through, what they are dealing with or their perspective either.

Your perspective is shaped by the things you've been through in life, the things you've seen, what you've felt. No two perspectives are exactly the same but you are never alone in anything you are going through.

The biggest thing you can do for yourself is not care what they think, because they aren't thinking about you.
Embrace the positive things around you. Let those who matter lift you up, while you lift them.
