FIVE Things to OBSESS about in 2020!

The new year is upon us with excitement, wonders and thoughts of what is to come! We are dusting off the stumbles of 2019 and taking 2020 head on! Here are the top 5 things to make your 2020 a year you’ll be happy with!

Narrow you Focus. Instead of working on 100 things at once and never completing any, narrow your focus. Each day pick three things to accomplish. Let those three things build to something you want to accomplish that month. Everything won’t get done at once, and that’s okay. You are one person and that’s okay. A narrowed focus will give you the ability to accomplish more.

Protect you Positive Outlook. When you find yourself being drained by someone’s negative energy, don’t try to convince them, reason with them or change them to see your positive ways. Instead, take a deep breath and know that everyone is on their own journey, yours doesn’t need to be brought down by the energy of others. Protect your outlook by not being consumed in theirs.

Let yourself be a Priority. Let this be a year of taking care of you. Ensuring your health and happiness is the best way to influence the happiness of those around you. Especially as a mom, take time for you. No one deserves it more than you, and YOU know that. Find something that brings you joy, makes you feel good and let it be a habit. YOU are allowed to take care of yourself as much as you do others.

Post 3 Day Refresh Meal Plan

I’m at the end of day 2 of the 3 Day Refresh as I type this, my meal plan for the coming week is simple. I did the 3 Day Refresh to kick start my healthy habits and shake off some of the bad ones pretty quick. In all honesty, I’ve been talking about getting my healthy habits back in check for months… so long that I’ve gained 10 more pounds in the process. It happens. No sense fussing over it but now it’s time to get serious. So here we go, a little insight to my plan; I work during the day 8-4:30. Breakfast through the first snack column are what I eat at work. It may seem like a lot of things listed in the snacks, I don’t eat them all together they are spread through my afternoon. Once I’m home from work I have my Shake.

Why I Chose Beachbody as my Platform

For me, choosing Beachbody was an inadvertent choice. I initially started by just needing a change, needing to be healthier and feel better. I saw on Facebook someone starting an accountability group and just decided 'what the heck, lets try it'. At that time I didn't know it would change my life, I didn't know it was what I had been looking for.

I did my first 30 day accountability group, had good success with the program and was feeling good. But there was something else for me, the group, the atmosphere, the other women, the positive vibes and support. I thrived. I made friends, I helped others, it was fun, everything about it just worked for me.

It was a realization then, that Beachbody Accountability Groups were what I needed in my life. It was a positive motion, like minded people trying to do better and feel better all while still living a chaos filled life. These were my people, other moms just like me.

Easy Crock-Pot Mac & Cheese

One of my pet-peeves is when I’m looking for a recipe and find a blog with one and there is a mile-long story with the recipe scattered through it. So I’ll keep this short and sweet. This is a super simple 5 ingredient recipe!

TIPS/TRICKS; this recipe is my go-to for parties, work events, luncheons, ect. Because its easy and is ingredients that I usually have around the house.

The noodles, really any noodles work. Macaroni, medium shells, penne. I didn’t have noodles once and asked the hubby to pick up a box on the way home, he couldn’t find the shells and brought home a Tri-Noodle box. It had penne, shells, and the swirly like macaroni salad ones in it…. THEY WERE DELICIOUS and now have become the staple box of noodles that I make the recipe with.

The cheese. I truly just use whatever I have in the fridge; which is usually a mix of Fiesta blend, cheddar and mozzarella. Every time I make it it’s a different combination of them, but it’s always good and just 6 cups. If you like a little kick, mix pepper-jack in.
That’s it! 5 ingredients to DELICIOUS.

What you need:
-          1 package (16 oz.) medium shells
-          1 can (12 oz.) evaporated milk
-          1 ½ cups whole milk
-          ½ cup butter (1 stick)
-          6 cups shredded cheese

What you do:
Cook the macaroni on the stovetop, as the box says. Then add all ingredients into the crockpot. Stir to combine.

Cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours.

smile, give a compliment, be kind.

Quiet sunday mornings are for cups of tea & reading. Personal development can be a mindset change of the greatest magnitude for anything you want to learn about. It's new perspective that gives you a better view of anything. From gaining perspective on those around you and what they may be feeling, to being able to self evaluate and see areas within yourself that can be improved. There is always room for personal development. Any goal, thought, idea of something you want to work on and there is a book, blog or podcast out there to help you.

::: The strongest people are not those who show strength in front of us, but those who win battles we know nothing about :::

Everyone one has something they are battling and most times it's within themselves. The way you think of yourself, the way you talk to yourself, how you think others think of you, it's a battle in your mind everyday. Self-doubt, second guessing, low confidence, regret, they are battles. Battles that are just as tough as any that can be seen.

Don't take what you see of someone on the outside and think that they are any different or have it any easier than you do. I promise you they have a battle too. Go through your day knowing everyone else has a battle too, pass a little less judgement and share a smile, give a compliment. be kind.

Sunday Funday Busy Momma Meal Plan

Sunday Funday Meal Plan is ready to rock! I'll admit this week I began prepping before I had completely finished it but I was working in the right direction. I'm putting my crockpot to good use this week and next to help simplify some of my meal prep. This week is Pot Roast. I LOVE LOVE LOVE crockpot veggies so I put a bunch extra in with the roast and have it all getting merry, juicy and tender. Veggies will be easy to add with any of my lunches and dinners and I'll have roast leftovers too.
I also some some chicken I grilled for meals in between. To add to that it's CLEMENTINE season, so those are my go-to fruit this week. My other highlight is my SHAKEOLOGY COOKIE DOUGH! YUM! It will be my treat to keep me away from all the other Christmas treats. I'll have the recipe to share posted soon.
As it is will all busy mommas, the holiday season means running extra wide open and DISTRACTIONS GALORE, so for workouts I'm going back to my favorite 22 MINUTE HARD CORPS! With tons to do, a quick workout is a necessity and the results that this workout brings are nothing short of awesome. Me time may be cut a little short but I know that I can get 22 minutes in. We have a plan Stan, Let's get it in! This holiday season is tough, but you are TOUGHER!

Takin care of You is taking care of your kids

Mommin' aint easy! #truth
I had been a new momma for pretty much a year before I decided I needed a change. I was STRUGGLING. exhausted. drowning. drained. pouring from an empty cup.
.
I did everything I could for the wild child in the making. EVERYTHING! story time. bath time. tummy time. play dates. 1am milk dates. sick days. teething. blowouts. crying for no apparent reason. All the good stuff. But I forgot the most important part.
.
Taking care of YOU is taking care of your kids! Our kids need us at our best. Our kids needs us happy. Our kids needs us confident. Our kids need us strong.
.
How do I accomplish so much in a day? I fill my cup, I take care of me and make sure I'm the best I can be for the mini. Nothing is more valuable to your kiddo than a happy momma.

Why I moved my Beachbody Business to Pinterest

Why Pinterest? First let me give a little background, I previously did Beachbody Coaching and was pretty successful at it, not enough that I was quitting my full time job, but enough that I was making a decent second income and I was really enjoying helping other woman. My main and only form of reaching out was Facebook. I had a blog then but didn’t hardly use it. Facebook took A LOT of constant work. I spent a lot of time posting and following up with people and just tons of work to show people what I had to offer. It wasn’t too much work, but it was a lot.

I stopped doing it for about 2 years now, went through a separation and a whole mess of things and just needed a break. I’ve settled my life and wanted to get back into doing something I really enjoyed that was a positive impact on my life and others. I didn’t want the constant need to be on Facebook and posting, aside from in my Accountability groups. That’s where Pinterest comes in. I’m a mom of 2 wild ones that are constantly running wild. I want to do Beachbody because I enjoy it, but don’t want to have to put so much effort into asking people if they are ready.

My thoughts on Pinterest is that it will be working, even when I’m not. Facebook is the home for my Accountability Groups, but Pinterest will be where people find me to connect. Pinterest is pretty much a Google search engine for pictures and ideas. It’s pictures and ideas that bring you to blog associated with what you are looking for. Pins go on and on forever and don’t get old. Pins can be saved anytime and gone back to and looked at any time. On FB one post lasts a day and then it’s gone, you consistently and constantly must keep up with it. Using Pinterest and a blog, one blog post can last months with people pinning and visiting your site.

The other benefit is when someone finds me on Pinterest, it’s because they are looking for what I can offer. That’s one step closer to being ready. It’s them simply filling out my form to chat and going from there.

Previously where FB was my hub now my blog will be my hub and I’ll grow my business from here.
